Empowering children through active learning

About us

Brightening up young lives across the North East of Scotland. At Lifestars, we believe every child, regardless of their background, deserves the chance to thrive. Founded in 2018, we are an Aberdeen-based charity dedicated to helping young people aged 5 to 18 build the essential life and social skills they need to flourish and contribute positively to their communities. Our mission is to remove barriers to inclusion and enhance education by equipping children with the skills, support, and confidence they need for a brighter future. Through enriching, active learning experiences that complement the school curriculum, we focus on developing communication, trust, leadership, pride, and confidence, key skills that serve children both inside and outside the classroom. We don’t just support children to succeed; we help them build inner belief and resilience that will guide them throughout their lives. Our life skills programme fosters empathy and connection, encouraging children to recognise their own power while lifting others up along the way. Lifestars provides inclusive, hands-on opportunities including sports, creative workshops, sensory activities, career guidance, and peer mentorship. We empower older students to lead and inspire younger peers, creating a positive ripple effect across schools and communities. 100% of every donation goes directly into delivering our programmes, with full transparency and a focus on making a lasting impact on local children’s lives. By uniting businesses, schools, volunteers, and supporters, we create a network of mentorship, encouragement, and opportunity that strengthens communities across the North East. Supporting Lifestars means being part of a charity that is nurturing, kind, inclusive, and committed to empowering children to grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals. Join us in brightening up young lives and inspiring the next generation to believe in themselves and their future.

  • As the year comes to a close, we are taking a moment to reflect on everything we’ve achieved together. 💛 This year at Lifestars, we empowered children across our schools to grow in confidence, develop vital life skills, and discover their potential through fun, active learning experiences. From lunchtime skills sessions and careers fairs to trips and unforgettable moments in between, every experience gave children the chance to grow, connect, and shine. None of this would be possible without the support of our schools, partners, volunteers and wider community. Thank you for believing in what we do and for helping us create brighter futures for young people across the North East. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Lifestars. 🌲🎅 #MerryChristmas #2025Reflection
